Dear Miss Addams -- I have dictated a long answer to your letter which came this morning but all the material will not be ready until tomorrow when I shall send at once.

This attached letter to you & Mrs. Hull will be of interest to you. When they even [page 2] try to put us out of this building, it is serious. And the first reason given was that item from ↑the↓ Illinois Legion man -- the item about H.H. & the W.I.L. & your statement. I am a nervous wreck tonight! It made me so sick. It all seems so sinister -- & I now fear wires being tapped & files looked into, etc. My love to you. In spite of everything, I wouldn't be doing anything else in the world! Devotedly D D.
