Miss Jane Addams,
Hull’s Cove, Me.

My dear Miss Addams:

Your letter of July 22 with its enclosure from Judge Amidon [reached] the office in Paul Kellogg's absence. He will, I know, be interested in it and I am sending it on to him.

I had a talk with Mrs. Ratliff who seemed to me a very interesting candidate for editorial work here, but all the conditions surrounding the job are as yet so uncertain that we are not in a position to make a decision right away.

Yours sincerely,

Managing Editor
