My dear Mr Kennedy

I will confess that I am quite bewildered by the [enclosed] letter. It is as if no arrangement had been made with the Committee in the Barnett drawing room itself. I had also sent the literature for approval before I published it and have sent it since.

I should hear from Mr Mallon and Prof Adams in a few days and am sure that ↑they↓ will understand more clearly. I will let you know [page 2] as soon as I have.

We are starting today for a month at [Biloxi], Miss, the Buena Vista Hotel.

I am sure that we should go on selecting for holder for the fellowship.

Hastily yours

Jane Addams
