My dear Miss Stanley,

We were very grateful to receive your telegram concerning the flowers for Caroline Hunt's funeral. We understood, did we not, that we were to spend $15.00 for [the] ↑her↓ Colleagues ↑in the↓ Bureau and $8.00 for yourself.

The cards were all taken by Mr. Hunt, who with one sister attended the services. Jessie Hunt, the other sister is still in the Presbyterian Hospital.

Miss Hunt's professional life was spoken of by Miss [Breckinridge] of the University of Chicago. A representative of the Home Economic Department was also present. The service, while very simple, was most sincere and I think her friends would approve. Miss Hunt came to Hull House ↑to a dinner↓ in honor of Margaret [Bondfield] of England just ten days before her death. It was so nice to have been able to see her again. She has many many friends in Chicago as well as in other parts of the country who feel the ↑a↓ genuine sorrow over her timely death.

Faithfully yours,

Jane Addams [signed]
