Resolutions adopted by the William Jennings Bryan Memorial Association at the meeting in Washington:
WHEREAS, it is fitting that the life and services of William Jennings Bryan should be suitably commemorated by the placing in the Nation's Capital of an appropriate tribute from the people, to whose welfare he unsparingly dedicated his great talents, be it
RESOLVED, that this committee be known and shall be "The William Jennings Bryan National Memorial Association."
RESOLVED, that this association shall proceed to raise for the purpose stated, by public subscription, a sum of not less than one million dollars.
RESOLVED, that this money shall be employed in the erection of a monument over the grave of Mr. Bryan in the Arlington National Cemetery, and in or near the City of Washington, of a suitable memorial, the exact nature of which shall hereafter be determined, representative of the virtues which won for him the love, admiration and respect of millions of his fellow-citizens, the ideals for the realization of which he untiringly struggled throughout a momentous lifetime, and his elevating influence upon the moral and social structure of the country.
