My dear Miss Addams:

We are planning to have prepared a memorial tablet to be placed in the gymnasium at the University of Chicago in recognition of the initial gift which [came] from Mr. Schwabacher for boys work. I am unable to discover from our records precisely what Mr. Schwabacher's full name [was]. I wonder if it would be possible for you to discover from your records the information which we need. I shall be greatly indebted to you if you can supply it. As I understand the matter it was through your agency that Mr. Schwabacher's gift was turned in the direction of the University of Chicago Settlement.
