My Dear
Here we are missing you very much and wondering whether the [enclosed] letter might have made it possible for you to see Achill Island.
We drove over with Florence Jennison and had tea at the Slievemore Hotel, but I did not find it nearly so beautiful as our [fine] drives nor nearly so beautiful as this place here. [page 2]
We feel that our lives have fallen in very pleasant places, for the walks in every direction are most alluring. Florence Jennison found a single room on the top floor so that after all the "holiday crowd" was not so great as expected!
We are safely [ensconced] but also only two of us and we are missing you all of the time. I feel as if our month in Ireland had been a great success and we are both full of gratitude and affection to you for having come with us and to have been part of it all. With love from Mary Smith, always devotedly yours J Addams
