Dear International Members:
Through some misunderstanding on the part of the Geneva Office a notice of a renewal of International membership dues stated that ↑the↓ money was to be sent to me at Hull House, Chicago. It is as you know, quite outside of the function of the President to collect organization dues and that ↑in addition to that↓ I cannot possibly undertake it. On the other hand the present system is working most admirably. Our International dues are handled by our [National] Treasurer, Mrs. Taussig ↑so she keeps them↓ in a special International fund.
Through the present method, of International Memberships for the United States have grown to eight hundred (800) and if we can secure four hundred (400) more our financial difficulties in the support of the Geneva Office would be solved.
During my visit this summer I found the old house had grown even more charming and is a genuine center for many visitors who constantly come to Geneva because of their interest in International affairs. The International office work both on its executive and editorial aspects was going extremely well and I am sure we are all to be congratulated on our International Headquarters.
