Montreux, d. 16. August 1926
Esteemed Lady!Since it has long been my deepest wish to [?] with an American pioneer and leader of the women's question and now that I have read in the Wiener-Journal that you dear Jane, will speak on August 19th in Gland, near Geneva, I would ask you please to let me know if it would not be possible for me to meet [page 2] you or the Secretary-General for America, Mrs. Dorothy Detzer, in Gland or Montreux, where I live, to arrange a conversation about a private matter. I wrote to the President, Mrs. Belmont, in Washington a few weeks ago, but I did not really expect an answer to my letter. If it were possible for me to see you in Gland or Montreux I would be very grateful. [page 3]
My unfortunate fate as a woman forces me to ask you for advice and help, since as a severely tested wife and mother I have undeservedly suffered and am still suffering. I would so love to attend your lectures a. see if I can drive to Gland to hear you. Would you be so kind as to let me know if a. when I can see and speak to you, revered Lady. [page 4]
Requesting an affirmative reply, I remain with the utmost respect
