The enclosed note and voucher are self-explanatory.

While a little unconventional perhaps, it is, as you know, a fairly frequent method of doing business between persons who trust one another, and I assure you that it will be perfectly safe in this case to sign the voucher -- you can hold me personally liable.

I also enclose a copy of [page 2] the 21st clause of Mrs Tuley's will so that you can plan how to use the money.
