BADHOTELLET

SALTSJÖBADEN den April 28 -- 1925

Miss Jane Addams
Hull House

My Dear Miss Addams

Naturally you know that your name has been suggested for the Nobel Peace Prize. All of our American Club here in Stockholm are more than willing to do our mite in spreading data concerning your great work for Peace, as well, as work at Hull House, Chicago.

Prof. Ann Margret [Holmgren] 22 Norr Mälarstrand Stockholm Sweden has just asked me to help her collecting data for a booklet that she proposes to write. In fact one of the Editors of a Stockholm paper has asked her to write said article about Jane Addams. Her Work at Hull House & her work for Peace. Miss Florence Holbrook has sent me her copy of "Peace & Bread in Time of War," which I sent to Prof A. M. H. immediately. She really ought to have a copy of her own. I wish one, too [page 2] for myself. If you are home, Miss Addams, your autograph in the book would be greatly appreciated by both Prof. A. M. H. & myself.

But some book or booklet upon the Hull House, Ann Margret H. would like as soon as possible. It is necessary for her to have this before she completes the article or booklet. Could your Secretary mail at once, some materials on this subject it would be a great help. Please mail it to Prof. A. M. Holmgren & not to me as I leave for Prague in a fortnight. Prof A. M. H is anxious to get this soon as possible.

I have met Miss Jane Addams in Chicago -- Washington D.C. Stockholm & at The Hague. I was present at the Conference at Hague in 1915. I have been a Chicago School teacher ten years under Florence Holbrook. Of course you can't remember me. But in all likelihood you recall our beloved Mother of Woman Suffrage in Sweden Ann Margret Holmgren, now 75 years old. I know you have met her.

With all kind wishes and the deepest admiration I am sincerely

Ruth Randall Edstrom

Permanent address: Villa Asia [Västerås] Sweden
