The [enclosed] bit was prepared and addressed to you before the sad news came.
We are filled with sympathy for you and [sorrow?] for our own loss. We are holding a memorial meeting at Hull-House this evening at which Dr John [Elliott], Mary McDowell, Miss Vittum and others will speak and with music from our Music School.
I will write to Mrs Woods, how hard it is for you all.
