Dear Miss Addams,

A friend of mine, Mrs. Ingrid Wisen, has just started for America. She is very interested in social work, and does an [excellent] work for young women. I recommend her to you and other residents of the Hull House, knowing that what she will learn, will be of a great use for the social work in Sweden.

I enclose a list of American women, hoping that at least some of them might be of use for our work. Two or three are already members of the League, but I think they ought to be nearer associated to the work.

I am [sorry] that I have so little time for writing letters. We are but a few workers here, and we could do so much only we had time and money. We have just now had an “autumn-market” and the income was so good that we have been able to pay our contribution (2000sw. francs) to the Headquarters.

I hope you have got my report from Estonia and Latvia. [page 2] I met so many interesting persons in those countries.

With the best wishes for you and your work.
I remain
Yours affectionately
Matilda Widegren. [signed]
