March 18, 1925
TO THE TRUSTEES OF THE NATIONAL CHILD LABOR COMMITTEE:
The Trustees’ meeting on March 13th was so important as to immediate plans that we are typing a summary of the discussion, which will be sent at an early date.
Meantime, that you may know the principal topics of discussion, I enclose copy of a personal unofficial letter from the Chairman of the Committee. The Board voted (two dissenting) to approve the general policy outlined in the letter, with the understanding that it was not to be considered as committing the organization for the next two years but only until another meeting of the Board, and was not to be interpreted as giving advice to the Committee in Washington. The major questions of policy now before us will be fully discussed at the next Board meeting soon to be called.
The Chairman’s letter is appended to this memorandum.
