Miss Jane Addams,

Dear Miss Addams: --

Referring to your letter of December 1st, you will note from the enclosed that we are [becoming] very active and promulgating Esperanto the International Auxiliary Language in carrying out our instructive program. ↑(and constructive.)↓

Sometime when you have a moment leisure I would like to have you pause long enough to reflect whether or not my statement in one of my previous letters to you is not logical, that is, that you will affiliate yourself with our Organization, as, your statement that you are already on more Boards than you are taking care of properly appears to be sufficient evidence. Sooner or later, not you alone but all individuals affiliated with institutions similar to yours must admit that the only salvation in hoping to accomplish the object they are most interested in is to become a part of ours, as, we go beyond lecturing and reading, hoping and wishing.

Thanking you for your good wishes and hoping to have the pleasure of seeing you at an early date, I remain

Yours very sincerely,

Leo J. Lentzen
Director General

P.S. What is your itinerary for February and March.
