Miss Jane Addams,
1403 H. St., N.W.
Washington, D.C.

My Dear Miss Addams:

It is good of you to write me so promptly and to be so encouraging. I have written for the Bulletin as you suggest about the Mrs. Catt incident and trust that I have not "spilled the beans" this time.

I asked Mrs. Mead to write an account of the Conference itself for the Bulletin. I had a letter in reply from Mrs. Catt this morning, which I will send you within a day or two. I want to quote it for the Bulletin if Mrs. Catt is willing, but suppose that I should not do so without her permission.

Always affectionately yours,

H. C. H. [initialed]
National Chairman
