Mrs. Eva Perry Moore, President
National Council of Women
3125 Lafayette Avenue
St. Louis, Mo.

My dear Mrs. Moore:

The United States Section of the Women's International League for Peace and Freedom is dedicated to the elimination of all violence in human relationships, whether civil or international, and to the establishment of universal and permanent peace between individuals and between nations.

The League recognizes that this program is not in harmony with the purposes of some of the organizations composing the National Council of Women, and therefore, on this 19th day of January 1925, the League withdraws its membership from the Council of Women in order to concentrate upon its work unhampered.

In a spirit of goodwill and fellowship the Women's International League for Peace and Freedom extends its greeting and expresses the hope that the approaching International meeting of the Council of Women will tend to increase sympathy and understanding between nations.

Faithfully yours,

Hannah Clothier Hull [signed]
Hannah Clothier Hull.
National Chairman.
