Miss Jane Addams,
Hull House,
Chicago, Illinois.

Dear Miss Addams:

The whole question of the conference of women's organizations on Peace in Washington keeps coming up and inquiries are coming in from individuals and our branches as to what attitude we are taking in regard to it. There is, of course, nothing we can do, in my judgment, except to be as nice as possible as opportunity arises. I certainly do not want to do anything without consulting you, on account of your personal relations with Mrs. Catt. It has been suggested that we should write Mrs. Catt a kindly letter and place at her disposal our office during the days of the conference, and state that if there is anything else we can do we will be at her service.

Miss Balch and Dorothy Detzer have been spending the week-end with me. We have just finished a long morning session and, I think, have gotten some useful things done.

This is a very hurriedly dictated letter ↑on my way to a train.↓

Always affectionately yours,

Hannah Clothier Hull [signed]

↑You may write me concerning the above matter if there is anything you think the Board should consider at ↑in care of↓ Mrs Leach, 170 E. 64th St.↓
