Biographical Text

Loredo Zadoc Taft was an American sculptor. His best-known sculptures include Fountain of Time and Eternal Silence, both located in Chicago. In addition to being a sculptor, Taft also traveled to American universities in order to lecture about sculpture and the Beaux Arts movement.

He married Ada Bartlett in 1896. The couple had three daughters, Mary, Emily, and Jessie. He died in 1936.
