Description

The University of Chicago Press was established in 1890, making it one of the oldest university presses in the United States. From 1890 to 1892, the Press only functioned as a printer—it wasn't until 1892 that the Press began printing scholarly books and journals. The University of Chicago Press prints books and journals to this day, including the Chicago Manual of Style and the American Journal of Sociology.
