My dear Miss Addams:

We were all so delighted last night as we listened to you from Mrs. Barnes' box. You never will know how much it has meant to have you speak for Japan and the Young Women's Christian Association in the way you did.

I am so sorry that it took so much of your strength that you did not feel like staying to hear Dr. Black. He was really very fine. [page 2]

I am leaving this Region next week and shall soon be back at National headquarters. If there is ever anything I can do to help you in connection with the International League for Peace and Freedom, please consider me at your service. I am very deeply interested in the League and all that it is trying to do to bring peace to this world of ours.

With all good wishes to you and again with many thanks from us all, I am

Very cordially yours,
