Biographical Text

Alice Mary Victoria Augusta Pauline, known to the public as Princess Alice, Countess of Athlone, was a part of the British royal family. She was one of Queen Victoria's many grandchildren. Princess Alice lived through both World Wars in England. She often visited South Africa, having been anti-apartheid. Princess Alice died in 1981.

Princess Alice was married to her first cousin, Prince Alexander of Teck. The couple had three children together, May, Rupert, and Maurice.
