My dear Mrs Porter

Would you be willing to sign a letter like the [enclosed] "copy" or another which you would write? I will have all the manifolding and addressing done in Chicago (at Mr Leach's expense) but I have to sign so many letters that my name for that reason alone might easily become an offense! Will you telephone me & hand back the "copy" with your approval?
