My dear Mr. Maddox: --

I have just received the announcement of the Rockford College Commencement. I very seldom use any of my degrees, ↑but↓ you might be interested to know that I had my B.A. from Rockford, M.A. from Yale, and LLD.’s from the University of Wisconsin, Smith College and Lincoln University.

I shall hope to come the afternoon of June 13th and I am anticipating the day with much pleasure. I suppose the occasion calls for caps and gowns.
