Miss Jane Addams,
Chairman, Board of Trustees,
Hull House Association,
800 So. Halsted St.,
Chicago, Illinois.

My dear Miss Addams:

Referring to Miss Culver's letter of gift to Hull House Association, dated October 19, 1920, when she turned over to Hull House Association, bonds having a total par value of $250,000 as an Endowment Fund, and in which she stipulated that one-fourth of the income from the said Fund "be set aside, in a separate account, for reinvestment in convenient amounts, and for addition to the principal of the Endowment Fund until it shall amount to a total of $300,000":

Miss Culver authorizes me to say to you that she is willing to have the total income from the Fund, above mentioned, used for the purposes of Hull House, as soon as the total invested endowment funds of Hull House reach the sum of $500,000.

Yours very truly,

Charles Hull Ewing [signed]
