Biographical Text

Josef Rheinberger was a Liechtensteinian musician. He had a precocious talent for music, specifically piano and organ. Rheinberger began playing music for church services at the age of seven. In addition to playing for church services and composing requiems, he worked as a music teacher.

Rheinberger married Franziska von Hoffnaass in 1877. Rheinberger died in 1901.
