My dear Miss Addams:

I am sending you the following names of persons ↑to whom↓ I think it would be worth your while to send the same letter which you have already addressed to the rest of us. --

Mrs Samuel Fels,

39th & Walnut Sts, Phila.

Mrs Thomas Scattergood

3515 Powelton Av. Phila. [page 2]

Miss Fanny ↑T.↓ Cochran

131 S. 22nd St Phila

Miss Mary W. Lippincott

Wyncote Pa.

I presume you have already sent letter to Miss Ellen Winsor, Haverford, Pa. and Mrs Walter Cope, 200 E. Johnson St., Germantown --

& Miss Mary McMurtrie

Norwood & Sunset Aves, Chestnut Hill Pa.

If I may be allowed to suggest, it seems to me it might help to add a paragraph to the effect of how different it is to [page 2] get money for a conference of women in a foreign country at this time. Most people can visualize ↑the need for feeding↓ hungry children but only women with vision can see what good an [international] congress of women can possibly do in the prevention of war and necessity of feeding here after, etc -- etc. This is too long and not well put but you know how to do it.

I have one pledge of $50. [page 4] and will send the check as soon as it comes to me.

I do hope there will be some results from the few names I have to offer, -- and that Miss Rhoads gave you a substantial amount.

Ever faithfully yours

Hannah Clothier Hull
