Dearest Lady:

May I present my friend, Mr. Spencer Miller Jr., who is in England looking into the educational organizations for working people. He would like to live at Toynbee Hall, but as I do not know the warden, I am emboldened to go back to one of the Founders.

Our poor little model suburb which you didn't see, has been doing so well, and looking so much better than its surrounding neighbors, that I am more than ever sorry we did not take you to it. You must come again, and push to fruition the wonderful impetus you gave us, ↑Always devotedly yours↓ Jane Addams [signed]
