Dear Miss Addams

Yours of March 11 just received. I am afraid you had a lot of trouble tying get me a passport. I am sorry. The American minister gave me a letter which I disdained but I find it works (in some cases at least) as a charm. I have given up Athens & Constantinople and am going first to Prague then (starting the 13 of April) to Agram Belgrade and Sofia and then later f and possibly Bucharest and then later to Budapest and Warsaw perhaps.

Many thanks for the Mexican address.

Things look very bright for [page 2] the Congress. The Committee [here] seems excellent -- all parties, including Catholics.

I will Frau Hertzka is a dear and spoils me dreadfully. Tonight I go to the Quakers to tell them about our League.

I shall be sending a circular letter soon with all information about the Congress up to date.

Good night.

Hastily, this time, yours

E G B.

Thanks for Mrs. Parren's telegram. It is curious but I had not received a copy.
