January 27th

My dear Miss Addams.

I will bring up at the meeting next Thursday the subject of Miss Breckinridge as our lobbyist representative. I could not understand from your letter whether you meant with or without pay. Mrs. Mussey is now keeping us informed and Mrs Brown speaks at hearings when asked so we are pretty much in touch with legislative matters but I will get a vote at the next meeting.

The Borah meeting is off. He will not leave Washington. I am disappointed for I thought now just the time for a big meeting here. We'd gotten splendid [cooperation].

Miss Bennett gets here next [page 2] week. We give her a luncheon on February 7th. Wish you were to be here.
