My dear Miss Jennison: --
I have your letter of the 25th [enclosing] appeal form Miss A. M. von Blomberg asking about the possibility of getting embroidery admitted free of customs duty in a case where it is to be sold for charitable purposes. We have not carried this question up for a decision by the head of the department, but in cases where we have had such embroidery brought into this country, usually by workers, we have paid the duty assessed. I am sorry that I cannot help you out more in this matter. I am returning Miss von Blomberg's letter herewith.
Very sincerely yours,
Executive Secretary
