Miss Jane Addams,
My dear Miss Addams:
To me it is very important that the Executive Board Meeting on Thursday, November fourth shall be as largely attended as possible. The new officers (including that of chairman) were elected by a small group at the meeting on September twenty eighth, and as some of the absent members did not know that elections were to take place, many have had no opportunity to express their opinion on this important subject.
It is my personal desire, therefore, that at the Executive Board Meeting on November fourth the general policy for the coming year, as well as the work to be done and the kind of organization desired, shall be clearly stated and thoroughly understood, a frank discussion encouraged and the opinion of all members given.
If it is not possible for you to be at the meeting your written answer to the enclosed questions will be appreciated.
Sincerely,
Mabel H. Kittredge [signed]
Chairman.
