As I presume that your organization is interested in the question of a common World Language and is desirous that the problem be solved satisfactorily I hereby take the liberty of forwarding you a copy of the Northern Peace Calendar containing an inquiry on the subject started by the Northern Peace Union.
From the result of this inquiry it is obvious that among the rival proposals the adoption of the English Tongue as a Universal Language has the sole prospect of [success]. An artificial language has no chance to attain such a position.
In order to make this matter known I should esteem it a great [favor] if you would kindly purchase copies of the Calendar for circulation among the members of your [organization]. I should be much obliged to you also to publish the enclosed newspaper paragraph.
I may add too that at the next International Peace Congress attempts will be made to secure unanimity of opinion on this important question.
