THE WOMAN'S PEACE PARTY
THE SECTION FOR THE UNITED STATES OF
THE INTERNATIONAL COMMITTEE OF WOMEN FOR PERMANENT PEACE

NATIONAL OFFICE
ROOM 1506, 116 S. MICHIGAN AVE.
CHICAGO

October 8th, 1917.

My dear Miss Breckinridge:

The vote of the Board has been overwhelmingly in favor of the meeting at Lake Geneva. Mrs. Karsten will be at the Northwestern Station at 3:45 on Friday afternoon, October 19th, with a ten ride ticket which has been presented by our kind hostess. If you do not see her at the gate, she will find you on the train, which leaves the Northwestern Station at 3:45 and arrives at Lake Geneva at about 5:20.

If you should come from the east earlier than that, and would find it convenient to come to Hull-House, which is not very far from the Northwestern Station, Mrs. Karsten will be there and delighted to make you comfortable.

I myself am going up to Lake Geneva a day earlier in order to spare Mrs. Wilmarth as much as possible in the way of getting ready for us.

We are asking the members not to spread abroad the news that we are having a meeting of the Board at Mrs. Wilmarth's, partly to avoid the reporters and also to avoid any possible embarrassment with Mrs. Wilmarth's neighbors. She is simply calling it a house-party, which it certainly is.

Anticipating seeing you with much pleasure, I am

Faithfully yours,

Miss S. P. Breckinridge,
2559 South Michigan Ave.,
Chicago, Illinois.
