My dear Mrs. Halsne: --
Your letter addressed to Miss Addams has been referred to me, and I take great pleasure in sending you under separate cover some material in reference to the work of the Woman's Peace Party. I am including, as you will see, an application blank for membership and would urge that you join us if you are in sympathy with our work, or perhaps secure some other member. At this time it is of very great importance to rally to our cause as many members as possible to whom we can send our literature from time to time. It not only strengthens our cause, but it strengthens and encourages those of like belief who need the encouragement that they can give from [cooperation]. I am also enclosing a copy of a program just issued by the Chicago Branch giving suggestions for work in war time.
Very sincerely yours,
Office Secretary.
