Miss Jane [Addams]
Hull House. Chicago
Dear Miss [Addams]: --
I am a member of a literary club and have been assigned the following topic for a club paper to be read in about four weeks "Could the Unbridled Activity of Woman Put an End to War"? Now the personal opinion of an obscure woman like myself will [page 2] not have much weight -- so I am writing to a number of the noted women of our country for their opinion and do hope they can spare me a few moments time out of their busy lives to give me their views, for how else can I answer this question, unless I ask women themselves.
Trusting that you will not think me audacious and anxiously awaiting a reply.
I Remain Sincerely
(Mrs) Mary S. Dellinger
