My dear Miss Addams:
I have a feeling you will like to see this stenographic report of the very wonderful extemporaneous closing of Mr. Jones' Sunday sermon, in which he states his position on the present situation. The service was quite the most inspiring and tremendous thing I have ever witnessed.
At the close of these pages you will find his Saturday night telegram to the President. I do not need to say how much we have all been helped by your own splendid message or how indignant and entirely skeptical we were regarding the first garbled reports of it.
If there should be any use you wish to make of this copy, you are quite at liberty to do so.
Gratefully,
Susan Miller Quackenbush. [signed]
