Biographical Text

Wilfreda Brockway was a kindergarten teacher and resident at Hull-House. She was engaged to Addams's nephew John Linn, but they broke up in 1901.

She married Hull-House resident Frederick DeKnatel in 1903. They had two children, Frederick and Jane. She was widowed in 1939 and died in 1957.
