April 26th, 1916.

My dear Mr. Thomas:

Your letter addressed to Miss Addams, containing a copy of the communication sent to the D.A.R. meeting in Washington, has been referred to this office and I wish to thank you for sending us this material.

We are interested in every effort to fight the introduction of military drill into the high-schools of Chicago or anywhere in the United States.

I am sending you herewith samples of some of the literature which we have been distributing very widely and I hope with good effect.

We are very grateful to you for your cooperation.

Sincerely yours,

Office Secretary

Mr. Addison C. Thomas,
