Jane Addams to Julia Grace Wales, November 3, 1915

November 3, 1915

My dear Miss Wales: --

I am enclosing a letter from Norman Angell. I don't know how in the world he ever got it into his head that the pamphlet was mine. It was sent him through the New York people and the mistake must have occurred there. I am sending it back to you with his comments.

Would you not like to publish it yourself in one of the Eastern magazines and let me write a preface to it? Is it too much like the original pamphlet to make this impossible?

Mr. Lochner says that you are to be in Milwaukee the last of this week and that there is a bare possibility that you will be in Chicago for Sunday. I am sure you know how much pleasure it would give me to have you spend Sunday with me, and to be here if possible for the meeting we are planning for the 8th. I am sending you material describing that meeting although you probably have received it before now.

Sincerely yours,

Jane Addams [signed]

Miss Julia Wales
Madison, Wisconsin.
