My dear Mrs. Dummer: --

May I thank you for the copy of Dr. Healy's book which I am delighted to own. I had spent an hour with Mrs. Bowen's copy but had decided, with a sigh, that I could not afford one of my own.

This one is being lent all around the house and is really appreciated.

May I take this occasion to tell you how fine a thing I think you did when you established the psychopathic clinic at the Juvenile Court. It is one of the most substantial pieces of work which has been done in that line. And most important it is that the pioneer clinic should be so fine!

Sincerely yours,

Jane Addams [signed]
