Dear [Miss] Addams
I had Mr Pond's final account today. Thank you for hurrying him up. As you probably know the total cost was $25633.05 added to this I [page 2] spent for furniture shades, [illegible] curtains etc. $845 making a total of $26,478.05. This is really less than I anticipated considering how reckless I grew at the last. All the Club women write so enthusiastically of the Hall that [page 3] I think it has already paid. Am sorry the strike seems no nearer a settlement.
