Miss Jane Addams
Hull House
CHICAGO.

Dear Miss Addams:

It was a real pleasure to receive your new book, "Bread and Peace" this morning -- a pleasure intensified by the fact that it was sent to me through the goodness of the author.

It might interest you to know that in a few days I am going to the Coast to speak at the Pacific Conference on International Goodwill, and at the Convention of Catholic Women; on both occasions I hope to stress the duties of international charity.

I pray God that you will be spared many years to the cause of peace, for sooner or later, it must triumph.

Sincerely

Frederic Siedenburg
