I thank you for your kind telegram, urging me to accept the invitation to speak on the 30th of December at the twenty-fifth celebration of the founding of the Juvenile Court of Chicago. I greatly regret that my judicial work prevents this, though I appreciate the honor of the invitation, and hope that the occasion will receive merited attention.
