Biographical Text

Robert J. Wilkin was a judge of the Brooklyn Juvenile Court. In 1907, he founded the Brooklyn Psychiatric Centers, Wilkin worked to protect children, and he was a member of the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children. He was the head of the legal bureau of the Children’s Society in Brooklyn and Long Island. In 1902, Wilkin helped found the Brooklyn Children’s Court and was a judge in this court until his death.

Wilkin died in 1927.
