My dear Miss Osgood:--

We had a meeting of the Executive Committee of the Neighborhood Workers, and there it was decided to hold our first meeting with the American Association for Labor Legislation the first Saturday in November. I have, therefore, not sent out any of the notices we arranged for. Mr. Barton, whom I promised to see, has been out of town, but is expected back very shortly. I will see him at once, and also find out how Mr. Byrnes has faired.

I am so sorry to postpone the matter, but it seemed best to the Committee.

Hastily yours,

Jane Addams

P.S. Miss Addams is ill so that I am sending this without her signature.
