My dear Mrs Sikes

Your letter followed me about and finally reached me here. I hope my reply is not too late for your purpose. I shall be very glad to speak Oct 17" and would much prefer the morning hour if it can be arranged as I remember it, a train leaves Bloomington at one or half past and reaches Chicago by dinner time. [page 2] I am, as you know much interested in Industrial Education and really glad for this opportunity to expand it. I hope that you are enjoying New York and that you are all flourishing at the sea.

Hastily yours

Jane Addams
