August 13th, 1917.

My dear Mr. Baldwin:

I have called your letter of July 23rd to Miss Addams' attention and she has asked me to say that the work you suggest, namely that the Woman's Peace Party, through its branches, help in aiding families or dependents of Conscientious Objectors who are sent to Prison, [comes] exactly in line with our work.

I am sending you a list of our affiliated groups and branches, in order that you may communicate with them directly. No doubt many of them would wish to [cooperate]. The National is taking no action along this line, but is leaving it to the individual groups and branches to decide for themselves as to just what they will wish to do in this matter.

Sincerely yours,

Office Secretary

Mr. Roger Baldwin,
70 Fifth Avenue,
New York City.
