Under Paragraph "SIXTH" of the Will of Leon Klein, Deceased, the Executors appointed under said Will were directed to distribute among such charitable institutions as they may select, the sum of $25,000.00, preferably to those institutions that are expending their energies in alleviating misery and uplifting those requiring assistance residing in the West Side of the City of Chicago.

We are pleased, therefore, to enclose herewith check in the sum of $2500.00, payable to the order of Hull House. Said sum is given you on the following conditions: that it be placed in a permanent endowment fund and safely and securely invested and reinvested by the proper Officers and Trustees of your Association and only the interest and income derived therefrom to be used for the purposes of your Children's Vacation Fund.
