Biographical Text

Frederick Fremont Smith was a doctor and medical author in Maine. Smith graduated from Dartmouth and received his medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania Medical School. He practiced medicine in Washington and Bar Harbor, Maine, and St. Augustine and Palm Beach, Florida. From 1909 to his death, Smith was an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at George Washington University School.

Smith married Dorothea Nadaly Grossmann in 1890. The couple had three children: Maurice, Frank Jr., and Dorothea. Smith died in 1922.
